Talking North

Talking North

The Northern Stage Performance Group have been making work in our buildings for over ten years so it is only right that we ask them to give us their take on Northernness in this, our birthday year.  Talking North will start with the texts of Alan Bennett (his version of The Wind in the Willows can be seen on Stage 1 as our family Christmas show) and end up who knows where, although we can guarantee that it will be north of Watford Gap…..

We have asked long standing member, Adele Evitt to document the process as the weeks progress and her diary can be found in the extras section.  Keep an eye on it as it will be updated regularly and will give you an insight into the process, the motivation and the musings behind the final performance which will be in Stage 3 on Tuesday 14 Dec.

The Northern Stage Performance Group is our free, open access group.  They have been making work, sometimes devised, sometimes text based and sometimes somewhere in between for over ten years now.  We are currently having a think about how best to take the group forward, so if you are interested in getting involved you will need to keep an eye on the Take Part section of the website. http://www.northernstage.co.uk/take-part
